the first three songs are things that logan and josh recorded during the last few group recording sessions for Gay Spit World (along with a bunch of other stuff that'll prob be on a B-sides compilation one day). You can hear them, really faintly, talking about maybe dropping Gay Spit World and LP3 at the same time, in the background of "Come Home, Robert". Those parts of the album were recorded in like fall 2020 I think. and a little bit in 2021. Everything else on this album was recorded a little bit after Logan finished college, half in Poughkeepsie in summer and fall 2022, and half in Kansas City in winter and early spring 2023. This album was mostly just a way to publish a few forgotten Gay Spit World recordings along with Logan being able to experiment with new recording techniques- mostly recording vocals and percussion with contact mics, recording with a speaker (used as a microphone), George Harrison type backwards guitar solos, circuit bending a toy (cat?) keyboard, and a more expansive use of tape loops and drone techniques.

Two of the song titles on the tapes don't match up with what their titles are on bandcamp. I know. But I've also done a million trips to office depot and michael's for j-card printing and I'm not going again, so every tape is a rare collector's item misprint I guess.
